Pair No 3 for 2017.

I've gone back to short row heels. I found a link to a "no wraps no gaps" short row. This style of heel is  more stylish..

I've made these in record short time as I'm avoiding some other tasks I need to be getting onto...sigh! now they're finished I best get to work.

Alex is motorcycling around our beautiful country. We first met in Turkey and stayed with him at his home in France on our last trip.

It’s nice to return the hospitality.

The special thing about Alex is that he has a prosthetic leg and the big joke (that he makes) is that a pair of socks last twice as long. The prosthetic limb doesn’t wear out the sock/s so he gets better wear from socks than the rest of us!

I'm hoping they will fit and are not too big...

Red and Green Stripes for Lucinda

Although my sisters have given me the cold shoulder ever since my mother died. I continue to act well with them and send them socks from time to time...they seem to struggle to send me even a polite thank you.... I find this rudeness to be rather amusing.

ps I have to report that I had a birthday email from Lucinda BEFORE she had received the socks and it was mildly friendly....we are making progress.

Pair No 21 for 2016

I have had this pattern in my library for ages and finally decided this particularly colour combo would work.

I'm happy with the result and they fit me very well I'll see if I can stop myself from giving them away. I usually end up with socks that I've made that I haven't been able to find another pair of feet that fit them and I get desperate for a pair of socks.... and often they aren't a great fit for me.... I have a high arch; wide at the toe and narrow at the heel feet....
